Sales Development Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our sales team. As a Sales Development Representative, part of your responsibility will be to generate qualified leads and set appointments for the sales team. You will work closely with the sales team to develop and implement strategies that will drive revenue growth for the company. Integral to this role will be pursuing small and midsized targets across existing and new accounts acquiring within the Supplier Enablement function for Boost Payments. As utility player, the Sales Development Representative will take on a wide range of responsibilities and be flexible in adapting to changing circumstances. Essential to this role will be the creation, implementation, and management of various activities aiding in the execution of the company's strategy and achievement of overall goals. The Sales Development Representative role also provides the opportunity for career progression.

Summary of Duties

  • Generate leads through outbound prospecting efforts such as cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach.
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify potential customers and their needs.
  • Qualify leads by understanding customer requirements and matching them with our product offerings.
  • Set appointments for the sales team with qualified leads.
  • Work a pipeline of new and existing customer/prospects to closure/expansion.
  • Track and report on lead generation activities and progress towards goals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and messaging.
  • Continuously develop product knowledge to effectively communicate value propositions to potential customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners and suppliers.
  • Work closely with other teams within the organization to ensure that the needs of potential and existing customers are met.
  • Quickly adapt to changing priorities and take on new responsibilities as needed to support the sales team and the overall business.
  • Continuously seek out opportunities to improve processes and streamline operations, and proactively make suggestions for changes and improvements.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices and share that knowledge with the sales team to help them stay ahead of the competition.
  • Serve as a backup for other members of the sales team when they are out of the office or otherwise unavailable and ensure that customer needs are met during their absence.

Professional Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or proven work experience in related role.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales development or lead generation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effectively work with a variety of different teams and stakeholders within the organization.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in solution selling.
  • High output energetic, enthusiastic, persistent, and driven.
  • Flexible and positive attitude with a growth mindset.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • $50K annual salary plus monthly commissions
